Jake Reiner Wikipedia, Biography, Age, Wife, Mother, Net Worth, Movies, Siblings, Brother, Family

Jake Reiner is a former television news anchor and reporter who recently transitioned into a full-time acting career. He is a member of a prominent Hollywood dynasty, being the son of the late filmmaker Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, and the grandson of comedy legend Carl Reiner. Despite his family’s deep roots in the entertainment industry, Jake initially chose a different path, establishing himself in broadcast journalism before eventually returning to his “first passion” of performance.

His journalism career included a notable tenure as a reporter and anchor for KPRC 2 (NBC) in Houston from 2016 to 2018. During this time, he built a reputation for fairness and professionalism, particularly in his coverage of law enforcement; the Houston Police Officers’ Union recently described him as a “true friend” who gave them a voice when it mattered. After leaving Houston, he worked for KCBS in Los Angeles. However, in 2023, he left the newsroom to pursue acting full-time, landing roles in projects such as the film Things Like This and appearing in the final season of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Most recently, in December 2025, Jake Reiner has been in the public eye due to a devastating family tragedy. His parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, were found dead in their Los Angeles home, and his brother, Nick Reiner, has been charged in connection with their deaths
